Today, the landscape is the place where spatial developments and (environmental) challenges come together. It is the starting point to find sustainable and integrated solutions for our heritage and environment.

Research: creating a 4D datascape

Combining information from modern and historical maps, airial photography, satellite imagery, historical texts, archaeological and geological sources to create a "datascape", a virtual, digital representation of the cultural and natural landscape through time (4D).

Turning knowledge into possibilities

Using the "biographical" knowledge gathered as inspiation, sustainable solutions for land use may be identified and different scenario's developed.

Translate chosen solutions into action

When well informed choices have been made, considering all aspects, plans can be made for implementation of the chosen solution

Monitor the changing landscape

Using remote sensing and AI to track and visualize changes of -aspects of the landscape
